1. Introduction

This document outlines the official rules for the Rally Drone Race competition.

2. Competition Overview

Rally drone racing tests pilots' skills in navigating complex courses with precision and speed. Drones must complete challenging tracks with obstacles, gates, and checkpoints.

2.1. Team Structure

One pilot and up to 4 support crew members per drone (maximum 5 team members total).

2.2. Age Categories

  • Junior (10-14): Simple courses, basic obstacles
  • Senior (14-18): Complex tracks with advanced challenges
  • Open (18+): Expert-level courses with maximum difficulty

3. Drone Specifications

3.2. Safety Requirements

4. Competition Rules

4.1. Course Navigation

Pilots must navigate through designated gates and checkpoints in the correct order. Missing gates result in time penalties.

4.2. Timing and Scoring

  • Best lap time determines winner
  • Each pilot gets 3 attempts
  • Penalties: +10 seconds per missed gate
  • Crash/DNF: no time recorded for that attempt

5. Safety Protocol

All participants must follow strict safety guidelines including protective equipment and flight zone restrictions.

Safety First: Violations result in immediate disqualification.
